The US partially revoked the Chinese solar battery anti-dumping tax order
Accordingly, the products excluded from this tax order are small stand-alone solar panels (with or without outer glass) with the following characteristics:
The total output power of each panel is 200 watts or less; the maximum surface area of each sheet is 16,000 cm2; no built-in inverter; with handles attached or packaged for ease of transport; with one or more mounting brackets for easy installation or angle adjustment; fitted or packaged with a power cord not less than 3 meters long connected to an 8mm diameter power connector.
This decision is the result of a review of changing circumstances at the request of a Chinese solar cell manufacturer and exporter.
Pursuant to this Decision, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) will instruct US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) not to impose anti-dumping/anti-subsidy duties on newly imported shipments. United States and refund tax on illiquid shipments, imported into the United States from December 1, 2021 (anti-dumping duty) and from January 1, 2021 (anti-subsidy duty).
According to the Trade Remedies Department, currently, the DOC is conducting an anti-dumping/anti-subsidy tax evasion investigation with solar battery products imported from Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam with reports forced to evade the tax order that the US is applying to China and is expected to issue the final conclusion on August 17, 2023.
